Wediate is an independent escrow service that holds your renovation funds securely. We only receive payment when you approve each completed stage of work.
What is Wediate?
Wediate is a third-party escrow service based in Queensland. They act as a neutral holder of funds between you (the client) and Plaza Works (the contractor).
Your money sits in Wediate's secure holding account, not our business account. This means we cannot access your funds until you confirm you are satisfied with each completed stage of work.
This arrangement protects you from paying for work that has not been done, and protects us by ensuring funds are available when work is completed to your satisfaction.
How Your Money Flows
Deposit: You pay your deposit directly to Plaza Works to secure your booking.
Balance: The remaining balance goes into Wediate's secure holding account.
Stage Releases: As each stage of work is completed and you approve it, Wediate releases that portion of funds to us. The dashed lines show these are conditional releases that require your approval.

How It Works
Accept Quote and Pay Deposit
Accept your quote and pay the deposit plus HWS Premium directly to Plaza Works. This secures your booking and start date.
Transfer Balance to Wediate
Transfer the remaining project balance to Wediate's secure holding account. Use your job number and surname as the reference.
Work Begins
We begin work on your project according to the agreed scope and timeline. You will receive updates as we progress through each stage.
Approve Completed Stages
As each stage is completed, we will notify you and Wediate. You inspect the work, and when satisfied, approve the release via email.
Funds Released
Once you approve, Wediate releases that stage's payment to Plaza Works. This continues until the project is complete.
