WHAT PEOPLE SAY
Over 100 Five-Star Reviews. Here Are a Few.
THE PROBLEM
Most Bathroom Renovations Are Stressful. Ours Aren't.
Renovating a bathroom should be exciting. You've been thinking about it for months - maybe years. You can picture how good it's going to look.
Then reality hits.
You need a plumber. A tiler. A waterproofer. An electrician. A painter. Five different people, five different quotes, five different schedules. And somehow, you're the one managing all of them.
Nobody tells you what's happening. The price keeps climbing. Weeks go by and your bathroom is still a construction zone.
We started Plaza Works because we thought it should be simpler than that.
You get one team. One person to call. One price. We manage every trade - plumbing, tiling, waterproofing, electrical, painting, carpentry. You don't coordinate anyone. You don't chase anyone.
And every single day, you get photos showing exactly what was done and what's happening next. No wondering. No guessing. Just progress.
WHY PEOPLE CHOOSE US
Six Things We Do That Most Renovators Don't
One person looks after everything.
From the first phone call to the final walkthrough, you deal with one person. Not a different tradie every day. Not a call centre. One person who knows your job inside and out.
Daily photo updates to your phone.
Every day, you get photos showing what was done and what's next. Even if you're at work or away from home, you always know exactly where things are at.
Your money never sits in our account.
For larger projects, payments go into an independent escrow account. A neutral third party holds the funds. They only release money after you've seen the work and confirmed you're happy.
We come back after we're done.
Six months later, we return for a free check-up. We test every fixture, inspect the grout and silicone, and fix anything that needs attention. Most renovators hand you the keys and disappear.
We don't keep you waiting.
We're selective about the projects we take on, so we're not juggling 20 jobs at once. Most of the time, we can start within one to two weeks.
You decide how hands-on you want to be.
Want to pick your own tiles and fixtures? We give you a checklist and budget guide. Prefer not to think about it? We supply everything through our trade accounts. Either way, we install it all.
COMPARE YOUR OPTIONS
What Are You Actually Comparing?
Most people look at a few different ways to get their bathroom done. Here's an honest side-by-side look at what you actually get with each option.
The biggest difference between us and most other options comes down to three things: your money is protected at every milestone, you get daily updates so you're never guessing, and we come back six months later to make sure everything is still perfect.

WHAT WE DO
From a Quick Fix to a Full Transformation
We handle bathroom renovations of every size. Here's a look at the different types of work we take on.
Resealing a shower, replacing a tap, fixing a running toilet. Small jobs that make a big difference to how your bathroom works day to day.
Need a new shower screen, a new vanity, or a toilet swapped out? We handle individual fixture replacements without touching the rest of the room.
Your shower needs a full rebuild but the rest of the bathroom is fine. Or the fixtures are dated and you want everything freshened up without a full strip-out. We tailor the scope to what actually needs doing.
This is where we do our best work. We strip your bathroom back to the frame and rebuild it from scratch - new plumbing, new waterproofing, new tiling, new fixtures, new everything. You walk into a completely different room when we're done. For full renovations, you have three options:
Doing two or three bathrooms at once? We package the work together so it's more efficient and less disruptive to your household.

What Affects The Price?
PAYMENT PROTECTION
We Never Hold Your Money. A Third Party Does.
This is one of the biggest differences between us and most renovators. Your payments are protected by independent escrow - not promises.
Small Projects
(Under $10,000)
You pay a small deposit to get started. The rest is broken into milestone payments that match the work being done. You pay as each stage is completed - not before.
Medium Projects
($10,000 to $19,999)
You pay a 10% deposit. The remaining 90% is held in an independent escrow account managed by Wediate - a third-party service with no connection to Plaza Works. Funds are released at agreed milestones, and only after you've reviewed the work and confirmed you're happy.
Larger Projects
($20,000 and Above)
You pay a 5% deposit (the maximum allowed under QBCC regulations). The remaining 95% goes into Wediate escrow. Same rules apply - your money only moves when you say so.
How it works:Â Your payments go into a secure account held by Wediate - not by us. We finish a stage. You check the work. You confirm you're happy. Only then does Wediate release that payment to us.
If there's ever a dispute, Wediate mediates. Your money is never at risk.
We've heard too many stories about people paying upfront and watching the tradie disappear. That can't happen here, because we never hold your funds.
Example: $24,500 Renovation
Deposit (5%)
Milestone 1 - Strip-out and rough-in (30%)
Milestone 2 - Waterproofing and tiling (35%)
Milestone 3 - Bathroom complete (30%)
COMMON QUESTIONS
Questions We Get Asked a Lot
What does a full bathroom renovation actually include?
We strip your bathroom back to the frame and rebuild it from scratch. That covers demolition and waste removal, all plumbing work, new wall sheeting, full waterproofing to Australian standards, floor-to-ceiling tiling, electrical, painting, silicone, and installation of every fixture you've chosen. We manage every trade involved - plumbing, tiling, waterproofing, electrical, painting, carpentry - so you're not coordinating anyone. You deal with one company and one person from start to finish. Every project also comes with daily photo updates while the work is happening and a free 6-month health check after we're done.
What's the difference between Install Only and Supply + Install?
Both packages give you the same full renovation - same quality construction, same trades, same warranty. The difference is who handles the fixtures and tiles.
With Install Only, you buy your own. We give you a detailed checklist and budget guide so you know exactly what to get and roughly how much to spend. You pick the look, we install everything.
With Supply + Install, we supply it all through our trade accounts. That includes a rimless back-to-wall toilet, wall-hung vanity with solid surface top, chrome tapware, frameless shower screen, accessories, mirror, exhaust fan, shower niche insert, and quality ceramic or porcelain tiles throughout. You don't need to step inside a showroom - just pick your preferred colour finish and we take care of the rest.
If you already own something you love - like a specific vanity or showerhead - we'll credit our included item and install yours instead. And if you'd prefer a different product from our supplier range, we can swap it in and let you know the cost difference up front.
How long does a renovation take, and when can you start?
A typical single-bathroom renovation takes about 10 working days. That usually spans around three calendar weeks once you account for weekends and curing times - waterproofing and certain adhesives need time to set properly before the next stage can begin, so there are built-in gaps between some days of work.
More complex projects, layout changes, or fixtures with longer lead times can stretch the schedule a bit further. We'll map all of that out for you before we start so you know exactly what to expect.
We're selective about the projects we take on, so we're not juggling too many jobs at once. That means we can usually start within one to two weeks of confirming your project.
How do payments work and how is my money protected?
We structure payments based on the size of the project, following QBCC guidelines.
For smaller jobs, you pay a deposit and the rest is broken into milestone payments that match the work being done. You pay as each stage is completed - not before.
For jobs $20,000 and above, you pay a 5% deposit (the maximum allowed under QBCC rules). The remaining 95% goes into an independent escrow account managed by Wediate - a third-party service with no connection to Plaza Works.
Your money only moves when you say so. We finish a stage, you check the work, you confirm you're happy, and only then does Wediate release that payment to us. If there's ever a disagreement, Wediate steps in as a neutral mediator. Your money is never sitting in our account and is never at risk.
Do I need to move out during the renovation?
Not usually. We work cleanly, protect your floors, and keep disruption to a minimum. Most of our clients stay home the whole time. If you have a second bathroom in the house, it makes things even easier.
We clean up at the end of every work day, so you're not living in a construction zone each night.
What if you find something unexpected behind the walls?
It happens sometimes. Water damage, rotten timber, framing issues, or old materials that need attention - these things genuinely can't be seen until the walls come down.
If we find anything, we stop straight away. We show you exactly what's there, explain what needs to happen, and give you a clear quote for the extra work before we touch anything else.
The same goes for asbestos. If it's found during demolition, we halt work and arrange proper testing. If removal is needed, a licensed asbestos specialist handles it. You only pay for it if it's actually required.
What warranty and insurance do you have?
You get a 10-year warranty on all workmanship. We also provide waterproofing compliance certification with every project.
We're QBCC licensed (licence number 15535375) and carry $10 million in public liability insurance. Everything is above board and fully compliant.
What happens after you're done?
We don't just hand you the keys and disappear.
At handover, we walk you through the finished bathroom, test everything, and check every toilet in your home for hidden leaks. You also get your warranty documents and waterproofing certification.
Then, six months later, we come back for a free health check. We test all taps and mixers, inspect the silicone and grout, tighten accessories, check drainage, and look for any early signs of wear. You get a written report of what we find. This visit is worth $249 and it's included at no cost with every renovation.
Why not just hire separate tradies myself?
You can. A lot of people try that route and it works sometimes. But here's what it usually looks like: you need a plumber, a tiler, a waterproofer, an electrician, and a painter. That's five different quotes, five different schedules, and you're the one making sure they all show up in the right order.
If one tradie runs late, the next one can't start. If something goes wrong between trades, they'll point fingers at each other and you're stuck in the middle.
With us, you get one team, one price, one person to call. We coordinate everything and we take full responsibility for the result. Your money is protected in escrow, you get daily updates, and we come back six months later to make sure everything is still perfect.
Most people who've tried doing it themselves the first time around end up coming to us for the second bathroom.
Do you work in apartments, townhouses, and older homes?
Yes to all three. We've done renovations across houses, townhouses, and apartments throughout the Gold Coast and Brisbane. We know how to work within strata requirements, manage difficult access situations, and handle the quirks that come with older homes like outdated plumbing or non-standard framing.
If your property has specific access needs - like an upper-floor apartment with no lift - we factor that into the scope from the start so there are no surprises.
Where do you work and how do I get started?
We cover the Gold Coast, Brisbane, and surrounding areas across South East Queensland. That includes Robina, Varsity Lakes, Mudgeeraba, Nerang, Coomera, Helensvale, Broadbeach, Surfers Paradise, Coolangatta, and everywhere in between.
Getting started is easy. Give us a call on 0483 913 700 or fill in the form on this page. We'll have a quick chat about what you're looking for - no pressure, no obligation. Just a straight conversation about your bathroom and what you want to do with it.
